1. Our commitment
Vent IT aims to make our website and dashboard usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. We design for clarity, keyboard use, and readable content, and we provide on-site accessibility tools so visitors can adjust display settings on their device.
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. That is an ongoing effort, not a claim of perfect or certified compliance.
2. Accessibility tools
A floating Accessibility control is available on marketing and legal pages. Signed-in users can also enable the same tools in the dashboard under Profile → Preferences.
The tools let you:
- Larger text — increase the base text size
- High contrast — stronger colours and borders
- Reduce motion — limit animations and smooth scrolling
- Underline links — make links easier to recognise
These choices are stored in your browser's local storage (vent-a11y) so they persist on this device. They are not used for advertising. You can reset them anytime from the Accessibility panel.
3. What we support
- Semantic headings and landmarks on core marketing and legal pages
- Keyboard access to primary navigation and controls
- Visible focus styles on interactive elements
- Text alternatives for meaningful icons and controls where we provide them
- Respect for system dark mode and optional theme preference (with consent)
- Optional reduce-motion setting via our Accessibility tools
4. Known limitations
Some areas may not yet meet every WCAG 2.2 AA criterion, including:
- Complex interactive surfaces such as voice recording, Insights Chat, and certain dashboard charts or dialogs
- Third-party services embedded in flows (for example Stripe Checkout, Firebase Auth / App Check / reCAPTCHA), which we do not fully control
- User-generated or AI-generated text content that may vary in clarity or structure
We prioritise improvements based on impact and user feedback.
5. Compatibility
Vent IT is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and common assistive technologies such as screen readers on desktop and mobile. Older browsers or uncommon configurations may have reduced support.
6. Feedback
If you find an accessibility barrier, please tell us. Include the page URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you use if relevant.
Email: hello@vent.app
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback and work on a reasonable fix or workaround.
7. Formal assessment
This statement describes our approach and tools. It is not a third-party audit report or a legal certification. We may update this page as the product and our accessibility work evolve.
